Spindle Dreams by Kiri Liz | C O V E R R E A V E A L |

Hola readers!

I was supposed to do this post

yesterday.

I'm by no means a normally late person. I show up thirty minutes early to meetings and appointments, write scheduled posts, and throw deadlines out of the way ASAP.
But work got ahead of this exciting post here because Kiri Liz is releasing her second book Spindle Dreams AND revealing the cover!
I remember revealing the cover for The Broken Prince (my book baby) and the excitement and it's so much fun to get to share in an author's journey....

I read Kiri's first novel back several years ago when she released it and it was good -- I'm sure this one will be no different

Marita Kadlec is the only daughter of Rohesia's poorest – and laziest – weaver. Her father prefers to spend his days gambling in the tavern, leaving the spinning up to Marita. She hates the family business because she's constantly pricking her finger on the spindle. She'd much rather be tinkering on an invention that she hasn't had the courage to show anyone yet. A special invention that will rid her of spinning for the rest of her life.

Felix is a young nobleman plagued with the same nightmare – a giant machine, twisting and clanking, shrouded in fire, bent on pain and death. He's determined to find out what it means, no matter where the answers may lead him.

This is Sleeping Beauty with a twist like you've never seen it before.

I love fairy tale twists and retellings -- one reason I chose to write The Broken Prince and incorporate a little fairy tale in there. And I have to say reading Kiri's book inspired me to write and self publish because her genre is similar to mine and about the time I was trying to write she debuted her first novel.
I wish her all the luck and blessing in the world on Spindle Dreams and I'm so excited for her!

What is your favorite fairy tale retelling?

  1. Well, we all know wizards are never late, nor early, so I think it's safe to say your post came out right at the perfect time. ;)

Awww!! I'm so glad I was a source of inspiration for you! That just made my day. :D I don't consider myself a great author, by any means, but it makes me really happy to be able to follow along these journeys with authors like you!

Thanks again for participating in the cover reveal! I hope you enjoy Spindle Dreams as much as you enjoyed The Rose and the Balloon!
